Charlotte is convinced that popular, pretentious Bellany Silverfield is out to get her. But it turns out somebody is—or was—out to get Bellany: Charlotte finds her high-school bully dead in the woods, having been brutally murdered. While Charlotte is desperate to find the killer, she would be lying to herself if she wasn't a little relieved that Bellany was finally done tormenting Charlotte and her friends.

But circumstantial evidence and rumors start circling around town, funneling suspicion towards Charlotte herself. Good thing Charlotte has her friends to support her...right?

As loyalties shift and friendships are tested, it looks like Bellany has one last cruel prank to play that will leave Charlotte behind bars...or worse.

Short and Sweet Review

Charlotte is sure Bellany is out to get her, after years of suffering from Bellany’s bullying, how could it not be true? When Charlotte finds Bellany in the woods dead she realizes that maybe someone was out to get Bellany. Charlotte is a bit relieved, but she also needs to find out who killed Bellany because all of the evidence is pointing in her direction.

This book was not good at all, I can’t think of one redeeming quality this book had. I love murder mysteries but something about this book was just off and I think it might be because of the characters, and the plot and execution. Charlotte is our main character and she makes such stupid decisions and 9/10 times it makes the situation worse. I really don’t know what to say, this was a short read and you would think that it would have been better executed but things were just bad. Charlotte wasn’t good at finding clues and piecing things together and the ending was just so far fetched and ridiculous. The idea of finding your bully murdered and having a lot of suspects because she wasn’t nice to everyone is what drew me in but it was like the other suspects were nonexistent was we really got into the book.

Overall, I couldn’t wait to be finished with this book and I think this is supposed to have other companion books but I’m not sure I would read them after my experience with this book.
