Not going to lie it took my a couple of chapters to really get into this book, but once I was past that point I was so engrossed.

In ‘Death Wish’ Scarlett Blake, a seventeen year old is trying to learn the truth about her sister Sienna’s death. Scarlett is staying the summer in her grandparents old house in the isolated cove of Twycombe. She’s not there to enjoy a summer on the beach but to find out what went through her sisters head before she died. Sienna committed suicide, at least that is what everybody is telling Scarlett. But Scarlett has trouble believing her sisters fate, so this summer she is set on finding some answers. Answers that are hard to find and soon she has even more questions. Scarlett also finds new friends and a life she didn’t expect to get attached to.

Megan Tayte has a writing style that is easy to follow and this book is a perfect combination of romance, mystery and heartbreak. The characters in this book are just really easy to love. There’s the main character Scarlett, who I loved from the very first page. Scarlett is young but has some incredible strength inside her.And then there are Luke and Cara. Luke is caring ever since he meet Scarlett he’s always wanted to be there for her. And Cara was just a really fun character. I loved her joyous, playful way of living her life and surrounding everyone around her with happiness. I also really liked Jude he was just so mysterious and he wasn’t in the book much but I just wanted to read more about him. I wasn’t really expecting what would happen in the end but it just left me wanting more. This book was great I think it’s a great summer read. I plan on reading the rest of this series and I definitely recommend this book. You guys should go read it!

The members of Don’t Get Mad aren’t just mad anymore . . . they’re afraid. And with Margot in a coma and Bree stuck in juvie, it’s up to Olivia and Kitty to try to catch their deadly tormentor. But just as the girls are about to go on the offensive, Ed the Head reveals a shocking secret that turns all their theories upside down. The killer could be anyone, and this time he—or she—is out for more than just revenge.
The girls desperately try to discover the killer’s identity as their personal lives are falling apart: Donté is pulling away from Kitty and seems to be hiding a secret of his own, Bree is under house arrest, and Olivia’s mother is on an emotional downward spiral. The killer is closing in, the threats are becoming more personal, and when the police refuse to listen, the girls have no choice but to confront their anonymous friend . . . or die trying.

Get Dirty starts where Get Even left off. I loved Get Even but Get Dirty blew me away. I love all of the characters and I was just rooting for them to figure out who’s behind all of the murders and torment. I was trying to figure out who is responsible for everything and when I thought I had the person, I was wrong.  I was shocked when I found out who the villain is.  I wasn’t expecting it and I was blown away by Ms. McNeil’s crafty writing. I read this book in 2 days.  I simply couldn’t put it down. I love these books and would definitely recommend this series to my friends.

Get Dirty is a WONDERLAND Hit earning six Cheshire hearts for it’s thrilling plot.

It is a universally acknowledged truth that high school sucks. But on the first day of his senior year, Greg Gaines thinks he’s figured it out. The answer to the basic existential question: How is it possible to exist in a place that sucks so bad? His strategy: remain at the periphery at all times. Keep an insanely low profile. Make mediocre films with the one person who is even sort of his friend, Earl.

This plan works for exactly eight hours. Then Greg’s mom forces him to become friends with a girl who has cancer. This brings about the destruction of Greg’s entire life.

Fiercely funny, honest, heart-breaking—this is an unforgettable novel from a bright talent, now also a film that critics are calling "a touchstone for its generation" and "an instant classic."

I love reading books before they come out in theaters so when I saw the trailer for this movie I knew I had to read the book. This is probably my favorite book of 2015. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl isn’t your typical book about someone with cancer. Greg Gaines struggles with trying to figure out how to be a friend to Rachel. Greg and his friend Earl make films for fun and when they decide to make a film for Rachel it becomes a turning point in all of their lives. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions for me it was funny and sometimes I would cry but when I finished this book I definitely had a smile on my face this book is amazing. I would recommend this book and I plan on watching the movie when it comes out this month. Everyone should check this book out you won’t regret it!

There Be Monsters Here. . .

It's not as great as you'd think, living in a tourist town that's known as "the most magical place in America." Same boring high school, just twice as many monsters under the bridges and rival Families killing each other for power.

I try to keep out of it. I've got my mom's bloodiron sword and my slightly illegal home in the basement of the municipal library. And a couple of Talents I try to keep quiet, including very light fingers and a way with a lock pick.

But then some nasty characters bring their Family feud into my friend's pawn shop, and I have to make a call--get involved, or watch a cute guy die because I didn't. I guess I made the wrong choice, because now I'm stuck putting everything on the line for Devon Sinclair. My mom was murdered because of the Families, and it looks like I'm going to end up just like her. . .

Lila was an amazing Heroine! I can’t help but admire her tenacity, her sarcasm, and her bravery! She acts tough but really, she’s a vulnerable person. I really related to Lila, I think that’s what made me love this book a little bit more. I like that Lila is realistic and practical. She knows what she can and can’t do. She’s pretty smart and she has priorities! Basically Lila is pretty bad ass and I wish I was her (Just saying). I loved all of the characters! I loved Devon, Oscar, Mo, and Felix, all these characters are complex and have a personality of their own and they also have priorities. The romance was not the main focus here and I think it was great!  But there’s a love interest,  and I feel like if it happened it I would ship it! The plot was amazing. Lila has to be Devons bodyguard after she protects him while they were at Mo’s shop and someone tries to kill him. Now Lila has to protect Devon while trying to find the people trying to kill him. I loved this book and once I got into it I couldn’t put it down. Um second book please! Anyway this book was amazing I would recommend this to my friends. Everyone should go buy it, because I know I will!

I would give this book 6 Cheshire Hearts!

Keeping secrets ruined her life. But the truth might just kill her.

Piper Woods can't wait for the purgatory of senior year to end. She skirts the fringes of high school like a pro until the morning she finds a notebook with mutilated photographs and a list of student sins. She's sure the book is too gruesome to be true, until pretty, popular Stella dies after a sex-tape goes viral. Everyone's sure it's suicide, but Piper remembers Stella's name from the book and begins to suspect something much worse.

Drowning in secrets she doesn't want to keep, Piper's fears are confirmed when she receives an anonymous text message daring her to make things right. All she needs to do is choose a name, the name of someone who deserves to be punished...

ReviewedbyDaniI thought I’d be into this book based on the synopsis, but I wasn’t.  I really had to push myself to finish it. I like my mystery books and Gone Too Far sounded promising but I just couldn’t connect with the main character, Piper. Piper did things that just got on my nerves, for example she would keep telling her best friend that he needed to go to college even though she knew he would get angry, and then she would wonder why he was mad at her. Piper did this on more than one occasion. Not only did it bother her best friend Manny. To say the least I wasn’t a big fan of the characters in this book. The mystery in this book is the one thing I enjoyed. I didn’t know who owned the notebook, because each character was someone who could have a motive. I will read Natalie Richards other book Six Months Later, because I have it but I’m not sure if I’d recommend this book.

I would give this book a 2.5

In honor of DUFF coming out in theaters this month I decided to read the book. This was a short and quick read. This was a pretty good book. When I first picked upped DUFF and started reading it didn’t really capture me. But the farther I got, the better it became. The characters were relatable and easy to follow. I really liked the fact that while Wesley and Bianca were hooking up they realized how they both need to face there problems and find a way to deal with them. I also really loved the ending it was adorable.  I would recommend this book. I also can’t wait until the companion novel comes out!

This is my first Lauren Oliver book and I loved it. Popular high school senior Sam Kingston dies in an accident on February 12th “Cupid Day”, but Sam relives her last day seven times. This book was amazing with each day you learn more about Sam and you get to see what changes she’ll make on each of the days, and with each day you get closer to unlocking the mystery of how she died that night. When I read Sam’s first day I thought the way she died was simple but with each day you learn something else and it just gets more complex. Sam was the mean girl while she was alive and while she relives her last day she tries to makeup for what she has done. I really enjoyed seeing how one of Sam’s actions can change the outcome. I would recommend this book, and I plan on checking out Lauren Oliver’s other books.

I really liked this book! It reminded me of The Archers of Avalon trilogy. What really drew me in was the synopsis, April has died 19 times before and doesn’t know it. I was interested in how her first love Scott from her first life would try to save her now. There wasn’t a dull moment I was so into this book. The only problem I had with this book was probably the ending, I didn’t know how to feel. Other than that I loved this book and the characters and the story. This was the first NA book I’ve read and I’m very impressed, I would definitely recommend this books to my friends. I hope there’s a sequel!

Celina O’Malley was just sixteen years old when she disappeared. Now, almost forty years later, Bayley is sleeping in Celina’s room, wearing her clothes, hearing her voice. What does Celina want? And who will suffer because of it?

Bayley is haunted by the ghost of Celina O’Malley, a young girl who vanished 40 years before.  But now Celina is  back, and she wants revenge for her unsolved murder. Nothing and no one could stop Celina from getting revenge, even if it means risking Bayley’s life in the process.  I enjoyed the suspense, thrill, and the plot. I liked Bayley’s character she was easy to relate to. I also liked her relationship with Oliver. It took me a while to get into the book and when I did I couldn’t put it down. I’d recommend this book to my friends.

Game of Thrones meets the Grimm’s fairy tales in this twisted, fast-paced romantic fantasy-adventure about Sleeping Beauty’s daughter, a warrior princess who must fight to reclaim her throne. Though she looks like a mere mortal, Princess Aurora is a fairy blessed with enhanced strength, bravery, and mercy yet cursed to destroy the free will of any male who kisses her. Disguised as a boy, she enlists the help of the handsome but also cursed Prince Niklaas to fight legions of evil and free her brother from the ogre queen who stole Aurora’s throne ten years ago. Will Aurora triumph over evil and reach her brother before it’s too late? Can Aurora and Niklaas break the curses that will otherwise forever keep them from finding their one true love?

Aurora and her brother are the twin children of the Sleeping Beauty legend, whose fate went awry when she was awakened early. Aurora is the key to stopping the trolls, including her evil stepmother, from taking over. Yet, she must face the trolls because they’re holding her brother hostage.

Princess of Thorns had many elements to the story that I liked. It has a character in disguise (Aurora pretending to be her brother). Aurora’s companion on her quest is Niklaas, a prince from a neighboring kingdom who is desperate to marry her (which is awkward, since he thinks she’s her brother). He’s living out the story of the seven swans, and only has a short time left as a human. However, he’s not willing to just give up his secrets, which makes his life more difficult.

Princess of Thorns is a compelling read for any fairytale fan. It stitches several together including Little Red Riding Hood while still managing to do its own thing. I would recommend Princess of Thorns to my friends.
