This is my first Lauren Oliver book and I loved it. Popular high school senior Sam Kingston dies in an accident on February 12th “Cupid Day”, but Sam relives her last day seven times. This book was amazing with each day you learn more about Sam and you get to see what changes she’ll make on each of the days, and with each day you get closer to unlocking the mystery of how she died that night. When I read Sam’s first day I thought the way she died was simple but with each day you learn something else and it just gets more complex. Sam was the mean girl while she was alive and while she relives her last day she tries to makeup for what she has done. I really enjoyed seeing how one of Sam’s actions can change the outcome. I would recommend this book, and I plan on checking out Lauren Oliver’s other books.

Southern Gothic gets a whole new twist in this debut novel, sure to appeal to fans of the New York Times bestselling Beautiful Creatures series. The swamp in Sterling's small Louisiana town proves to have a power over its inhabitants when her brother disappears and no one but Sterling even remembers that he existed. Now Sterling, with the help of brooding loner Heath, who's had his own creepy experience with the swamp, must fight back and reclaim what—and who—the swamp has taken.Beware the Wild is a riveting and atmospheric page-turner readers won't want to miss.

It’s an oppressively hot and sticky morning in May when Sterling and her brother, Phin, have an argument that compels him to run into the town swamp — the one that strikes fear in all the residents of Sticks, Louisiana. Phin doesn’t return. Instead, a girl named Lenora May climbs out, and now Sterling is the only person in Sticks who remembers her brother ever existed. Sterling needs to figure out what the swamp’s done with her beloved brother and how Lenora May is connected to his disappearance — and loner boy Heath Durham might be the only one who can help her.

I can’t even explain how much I loved this book. Sterling’s brother Phin goes into the swamp and he doesn’t come out but Lenora May does. Sterling is the only one in town who remembers her brother even existed, but she gets a little help from Heath the only person who believes Sterling and doesn’t think she’s crazy. I just related to Sterling so much and I was rooting for her to find brother. I didn’t like Lenora, because when she climbed out of the swamp she thought she belonged there, and I was like where is Phin? I also really liked the relationship between Sterling and Heath it was really sweet that he believed her even when others didn’t. The setting and the swamp were just creepy but I loved it. I would recommend this book to others in a heart beat!

Deadly Trilogy, Book 1 Dog Mountain is just like any other small town - peaceful and uneventful. Well, that is if peaceful means wolves howling all night, and uneventful means it's overrun by pesky werewolves, then yes, Dog Mountain is just your average small town. Jade Shaw has spent the last two years avoiding the pack. But when Aidan Collins moves to town, avoiding the dogs doesn't seem possible. The pack wants him just as much as she does. Determined to keep him out of the pack's grasp, Jade does everything she can to gain his attention. Little does she know, Aidan is in deeper with the pack than she could have imagined, and competing for his attention is a deadly game, one she may not want to win.

Jade Shaw is resident of a town of Wolf Shifters called Dog Mountain. She has never been a fan of the Shifters but they became her enemy when they laid claim to one of her best friends.  The last thing Jade expected was to fall for someone who turns into a canine on his down time.  To make matters worse Aidan is the new Alpha in town and every she-wolf is fighting to become his Mate; which makes Jade enemy number one as the she-wolfs see the attention she gets from Aidan.

I found Ashley Stoyanoff’s Deadly Crush to be an exciting and intriguing read.  The first book in the Deadly Trilogy series sets the stage for complex and thrilling reads.  I found Jade to be the right amount of stubborn and fierce.  Aidan definitely brings the sexy and powerful Alpha vibes to the book.  Some of the best scenes are those when Jade and Aidan are fighting and making up just like a good romance should be. I am anxious to read what happens to Aidan and Jade in book two of the series. Deadly Crush is a fantastic paranormal read especially if you love dominant Alpha’s and sexy, tenacious women who love them.

Mallory's life is falling apart. Her boyfriend was stabbed. He bled to death in her kitchen. Mallory was the one who stabbed him. But she can't remember what happened that night. She only remembers the fear . . . When Mallory's parents send her away to a boarding school, she thinks she can escape the gossip and the threats. But someone, or something, has followed her. There's the hand that touches her shoulder when she's drifting off to sleep. A voice whispering her name. And everyone knows what happened. So when a pupil is found dead, Mallory's name is on their lips. Her past can be forgotten but it's never gone. Can Mallory live with that?

After the incident Mallory’s parents decide to send her to Monroe a prep school to get away from everything back home. However, she can’t help but feel that her ex-boyfriend’s ghost has followed her. She can hear his heartbeat. She has the impression of a hand indented on her shoulder from where she’s being grabbed by his ghost. Not long after Mallory arrives, another pupil is found dead in her room. Mallory claims she was sleeping and can’t remember anything. I really liked Mallory as a character and Reid, her new love interest, is a great, loyal guy. The thing I loved most about the book is the face that Mallory doesn’t really remember the details of the night she killed Brian but throughout the book she has flashbacks of that night. I’m pretty sure there won’t be a sequel to this book but if there was I would buy it. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes Romance, Thriller, and Mystery.

Falcon Lake will have its vengeance.

When everyone thought Delaney was going to die, Decker made a bargain. Anyone but her. Everyone but her.

He never realized someone might actually be listening.

Carson pulled Delaney out of the frozen water of Falcon Lake, and he died on the side of the road with his mouth pressed to hers. Troy tried to recreate Delaney’s accident, and the lake took him instead. All the talk about a curse doesn’t shake Decker, until yet another unthinkable tragedy strikes and there’s just too much coincidence and death for Decker to take . . . and too much anger.

Because Delaney knew it was coming, and she never said a word. Falcon Lake still has a hold on them both, and Decker can’t forgive Delaney until he knows why.

Vengeance by Megan Miranda is the sequel to Fracture, and this time the book is in Decker’s point of view. After the events from the last book everyone thinks Falcon Lake is haunted and is waiting to get its revenge. Decker loses someone close to him and Delaney knew it would happen, so Decker takes his anger out on Delaney, until mysterious things start to happen to them and their friends. Of course after these things start to happen everyone thinks the curse of Falcon Lake is coming to get them, and it’s especially trying to get Delaney.

In this book Decker has a lot of anger towards Delaney for keeping a secret from him. He acts harshly towards her, but you can tell deep down he really cares about her. The rest of the characters in the book set the tone of the book because they honestly feel like the curse is coming for them and now they have this fear towards Falcon Lake. Vengeance for me was a page turner because I couldn’t wait to read what was going to happen next. Vengeance had an unexpected but great ending. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal, thrillers, and mysteries. If Megan Miranda wrote another book I would buy it. (;

When Decker found Delaney kissing his best friend Carson, he told himself that it meant nothing. But then Carson calls to Delaney from across the vast frozen lake. Jealous, Decker insists they walk over the fragile ice. Halfway, he leaves her there . . . Ten minutes without air, Delaney will be dead. Decker pulls her out of the icy waters after eleven. Delaney is alive, but now she is drawn to those who are dying . . . and to stranger, Troy - someone Decker should see as a threat.

After Delaney fell into Falcon Lake something changed. Delaney can now sense when someone is about to die. Most of Delaney’s friends start to distance themselves from her because it seems like people around her die. When Delaney was at the hospital she met Troy. At first Troy seemed like a great friend for Delaney because he has the same ability as her. I liked Delaney’s character she’s smart and curious. Troy’s character seemed nice at first but towards the end he has some scary secrets he hasn’t told anyone. I really like this book. The ending is great I got chills reading it, its unexpected. I would and I did buy the sequel to this book which is Vengeance and it’s in Delaney’s friend Decker’s point of view. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Mysteries, and Thrillers.

It was the weekend before Christmas and the whole world was on countdown.
Except for me.
Last Christmas, I met a boy.
Last Christmas, we made a pact.
Christmas would never be the same.
Life would never be the same...

***Please note that this is a short story, not a full length novel. It is intended to be a quick, fun and flirty read.***

THE GIFT by Karli Perrin is a short and sweet Christmas themed New Adult Romance. It’s a short story, only 38pgs (on my kindle), but still manages to deliver a good romance. THE GIFT tells a sort of meet-cute romance where we’re introduced to Imogene and Blake, two college students, and watch them fall for each other during the holidays. It’s fun to read the banter between the two, the light teasing and flirtation.

I did have a couple ‘huh?’ moments… The story starts out in the present, with just a few lines, and then takes us back to a year ago, where it truly takes places. I don’t feel that this was necessary, as in the end, we’re not brought back to the present. The second moment takes place towards the end and felt as if it came out of nowhere. It may have been added to affirm the feelings of the couple, but I don’t feel that it was required.

While this is a novella, I didn’t find it lacking nor did I need it to be longer.  I will say, that I would gladly read another story where I get to find out more about Imogene and Blake and see how they are doing, though. I will definitely be checking out other reads by Ms. Karli Perrin.

This is a novella that I would recommend if you are short on time, but in the mood for a light and romantic holiday read.

Just when it seems life at Mythos Academy can't get any more dangerous, the Reapers of Chaos manage to prove me wrong. It was just a typical night at the Library of Antiquities--until a Reaper tried to poison me. The good news is I'm still alive and kicking. The bad news is the Reaper poisoned someone else instead.

After what happened in the last book with Logan, Gwen is hurt as she should be. But when Gwen is in her library she notices a reaper slipping poison in her water bottle, but Gwen is too late because Nickamedes already took a sip. Gwen and her friends must get find the cure. Gwen and her friends Daphne, Carson, and Coach Ajax go to Denver to start looking for the cure. In Denver Gwen meets her cousin Rory. Gwen’s cousin Rory isn’t liked probably because her parents did something they shouldn’t have… While on this trip Gwen finds out more about her family, and someone comes back from a little time away. I loved this book as I do with the rest in the series. You find out so much more about Gwen and her family in this book. I love how caring and determined Gwen is especially when it comes to keeping her friends safe. The sequel to this book is Killer Frost. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes urban fantasies.

For a moment, a face flashed before my eyes--the most hideous face I'd ever seen. No matter how hard I tried to forget what had happened, I saw him everywhere I went. It was Loki--the evil god that I'd helped set free against my will.I should have known that my first official date with Logan Quinn was destined to end in disaster. If we'd gotten into a swordfight, or been ambushed by Reapers, I'd have been more prepared. But getting arrested mid-sip at the local coffee hangout? I didn't see that one coming. I've been accused of purposely helping the Reapers free Loki from his prison--and the person leading the charge against me is Linus Quinn, Logan's dad. The worst part is that pretty much everyone at Mythos Academy thinks I'm guilty. If I'm going to get out of this mess alive, I'll have to do it myself. . .

Crimson Frost starts with Logan and Gwen going on their first date. The unexpected happens as Gwen is accused of purposely helping the reapers set Loki free. Gwen and all her friends will stop at nothing to help Gwen clear her name. Even though Logan’s dad is the one leading the charge against Gwen, Logan still stays by Gwen. Of course I have nothing but good things to say about this book. But the ending is pretty sad in my opinion and when you find out who one of Loki’s reaper helpers is you’ll be shocked because I was. The sequel to this book is Midnight Frost. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Urban Fantasies, and Romance.

Everyone at Mythos Academy knows me as Gwen Frost, the Gypsy girl who uses her psychometry magic to find lost objects - and who just may be dating Logan Quinn, the hottest guy in school. But I'm also the girl the Reapers of Chaos want dead in the worst way. The Reapers are the baddest of the bad, the people who murdered my mom. So why do they have it in for me? It turns out my mom hid a powerful artefact called the Helheim Dagger before she died. Now, the Reapers will do anything to get it back. They think I know where the dagger is hidden, but this is one thing I can't use my magic to find. All I do know is that the Reapers are coming for me - and I'm in for the fight of my life.

Things for Gwen won’t get easier especially with reapers still coming after her. Before Gwen’s mom died she hid an artifact called the Helheim Dagger, and that’s what the reapers are looking for. Gwen needs to find the Dagger before the reapers do or they’ll use it to set Loki an evil God free. This is my favorite book in the series. Why? Probably because Gwen and Logan are dating now! I just really love this book everything about it is amazing. The ending of the book is crazy especially the fact that Gwen has to hurry and find the Dagger before any of the reapers. The sequel to this book is Crimson Frost. I recommend this book to anyone who likes Romance and Urban Fantasies.
