It’s just a bad dream—but it seems so real.
Every night Maggie Travers has the same horrible dream. Every night she is forced to watch the same murder. And every night the girl in her dream cries out for help. Maggie is afraid to go to sleep again. But when the terrifying dream starts to come true and the gruesome accidents begin, staying awake is the real nightmare!
Short and Sweet Review
Maggie, her mom and sister just moved into a new house. The previous owner left bed a canopy bed which Maggie and her sister Andrea fight over, but Maggie ultimately gets to keep the bed. After her first night sleeping in the bed Maggie has a nightmare about a girl being murdered and from there she has this nightmare every night.
This was not my favorite Fear Street book. First of all, if I moved into a house and the previous owners left their bed I would not be sleeping in that bed. Second, Maggie and Andrea are always fighting and it gets exhausting so much so that Maggie doesn’t trust her own sister. Maggie has these nightmares about someone being murdered and in her actual life weird things are starting to happen including her swim teammates getting hurt. With everything going on Maggie seems paranoid and those around her think she’s going off the deep end. The ending wasn’t great because where did this culprit even pop out from it was just so odd, possible yes, but odd nonetheless.
Overall, I didn’t enjoy this book and I really have no other thoughts than that. The story wasn’t great and I would say to skip it.
