With her mother's life hanging in the balance, Scarlett is devastated - and done with being in the dark. She wants answers, all of them.
But when was her pursuit of the truth ever straightforward?
Pulling a single thread impels a great unravelling. And each revelation will force Scarlett to rethink what she thought she knew about the Ceruleans, the Fallen, her family - herself.
All that came before was a mere prelude to this, the last journey. From London to Twycombe to Hollythwaite to Cerulea, Scarlett will be stalked by the ghosts of what has been, what may have been and what may come to pass. Until she reaches the place where it all began, and it all must end.
But in the final reckoning, none will survive unscathed. And some will not survive at all.

My Thoughts

~ This book starts where Devil and the Deep ended and its definitely a rollercoaster ride from the beginning.

~ Scarlett’s mother is in the hospital hanging onto life and Scarlett, Sienna, and Gabe are determined to find who did this to her. I was trying to figure out who did it and when I found out I was shocked it wasn’t who I thought it would be.

~ So many questions were answered in this book. We learn more about the Fallen and why they live the life they do, we also learn why Sienna made the choices she did.

~ This book was fast paced and there were a lot of twists that I wasn’t expecting.

~ I liked seeing how Scarlett has grown over the past four book, she has more confidence and has found her inner strength.

~ I have finally found my love for Luke. He’s still caring and protective, and I like how supportive he is of Scarlett.

~ I liked seeing Jude and Sienna together and to see how dynamic would work because Jude believes so strongly in the Cerulean beliefs. I would love to see a novella maybe of those two.

Overall

This is the final book in this series and I’m sad that it’s over. I loved going on a journey with Scarlett from learning she was a Cerulean to all the decisions she had to make afterwards and all of the things learned along the way. Darkly, Deeply, Beautifully was an amazing conclusion to an amazing series! There are five books in this series that should be read in order, I would recommend this series it’s definitely one of my favorites!!!

When Scarlett Blake chose life-after-death as a Cerulean, she expected to grieve for all she left behind: her boyfriend, her best friend, her mother, her home. But at least Cerulea, her heaven, would be... well, heavenly. Right?
Wrong.
The world in which Scarlett awakens is very far from her idea of a utopia. Picturesque, sure, and serene. But there can be no paradise within the unforgiving walls of a prison, be they of cold, hard stone or beautifully blue water.
Now Scarlett faces her hardest decision yet: be a good, dutiful Cerulean, or be true to herself and fight for freedom.
And if she can find a way to escape, what then? Can she finally reunite with her lost sister? Can she save Sienna from the murderous Fallen? Can she evade her destiny with the Ceruleans?
Can Scarlett Blake ever reclaim her life-before-death... or must she let go of all she loves?

Short and Sweet

Life-After-Death is not what Scarlett expected it to be. Scarlett is now in Cerulea, and this heaven is more like a prison. Scarlett’s main goal is to find her sister, Sienna. To find her sister, Scarlett must decide if she should be a good Cerulean and follow the rules, or escape and regain her freedom.

My Thoughts

~ It was interesting to finally have Scarlett in Cerulea. We get to meet the other Ceruleans, and learn more about them and their history.

~ I think that Scarlett’s struggle to adjust to Cerulea is understandable. She had to leave her friends and family behind and then to be told she couldn’t see them was a pretty big blow to her.

~ I loved Jude in this book! It was nice getting to more about him and where he’s from. At one point I was liked the idea of him and Scarlett being together, but after learning why they couldn’t be together my heart broke for him.

~ Ahh the search for Sienna… Sienna is an interesting dynamic especially because we don’t know much about her except that she’s with the Fallen.

Overall

So far this is my favorite book in the series! I loved that we got to know more about the Ceruleans, and a lot more of Jude! The ending was really good and I’m ready to see what’s going to happen in the next book!!!

Country girl Dorothy Gale gets whisked away by a cyclone to the fantastical Land of Oz. Dropped into the midst of trouble when her farmhouse crushes a tyrannical sorceress, Dorothy incurs the wrath of the Wicked Witch of the West. Dorothy is desperate to return to her native Kansas, and, aided by the Good Witch of the North, she sets out for the Emerald City to get help from the legendary Wizard. On her way, she meets three unlikely allies who embody key human virtues—the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion.

Short and Sweet

I think we all know the story of the Wizard of Oz and sweet little Dorothy, but if you don’t I’ll give you a recap. Dorothy lives on a farm in Kansas with her Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, and how could we forget little Toto. The adventure begins when a tornado comes and sweeps Dorothy, Toto, and their house into a magical land. Now Dorothy and Toto must find a way back to Kansas by finding the Wizard in the Emerald City, and along the way they meet some new friends.

What I liked

~ I liked Dorothy she was always looking out for her friends and looking for solutions to the problems they would come across.

~We get to meet people who weren’t in the movie.

~ It was a short book and easy to read.

~ Fun adventure to go on with Dorothy and the gang.

What I didn’t like

~ The only thing that bothered me was when the characters would repeat themselves if something went wrong. Ex. “I won’t get my brain. I won’t get my heart.” Just things like that. It happened a few times but I got over it.

Overall

I would recommend this book! It was short and I think I may even like it more than the movie. There is also a version of it that is free on Google Play books if you guys decide you want to read it!

Every Sunday Savannah Ray gets an email from her dead dad. She doesn’t know how the emails work but she’s finally ready to start looking for answers. To find those answers she has to go to the one place she swore she’d never set foot in after he died—Haunted Valley, the amusement park. Once there and on the hunt for answers she is distracted by the charming Dallas and falls hard for him. When the answers she finds aren’t what she expected and Dallas betrays her, Savannah must make a choice—succumb to the insanity that destroyed her father or find the strength to rise above it.

“Every Sunday Savannah Ray gets an email from her dead dad” Because that’s not creepy at all. Savannah’s dad took his life two years ago on a rollercoaster ride and since that moment she’s stayed away from something they both loved: amusement parks. When the summer of her 18th birthday comes, she still feels numb, her dads death left her empty. So her mother decides to send her to work at her uncle’s amusement park, hoping Savannah will learn about responsibility and maturity. But Savannah doesn’t want anything to do with her uncle and doesn’t care about her mother’s wishes. All she care about is her passion for European chocolates and not breaking the connection with her father that somehow is keeping his promise with sending her emails every Sunday. It sounds like a good premise, right? How is she going to deal with her father’s death? Where are the emails coming from? Wrong!
The synopsis leads you to think that she is going to the amusement park to find who’s behind those emails when actually she doesn’t want to know it because she’s afraid it’ll stop. Its not a mystery which is what I was hoping for you find out who’s sending those emails in the beginning of the book. I wanted to like this book because of the premise but I was left feeling pretty disappointed. It was hard for me to like Savannah she was mean and she whined a lot. This isn’t a book I would reread or recommend to my friends.

A 300 year old curse... Bernadette's Curse Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. In the 1700s, Bernadette loved young Walter Doherty more than life itself, but when he chose another to be his bride, she vowed on his wedding day that the union would be cursed forever and that if a daughter was born unto them, the eldest would know her fate upon her sixteenth birthday and every generation afterward. 30 days to live... Dodie Jenks is your typical teenager until she learns of the three hundred year old curse that will claim her on her sixteenth birthday. She doesn't want to believe this is her fate, but what if it's true? Visiting a seer does no good. She's warned to not try to break the curse. Her family struggles to keep her alive, but none of them are prepared for what lies ahead. One Hot Warlock... Leopold. A powerful warlock seeking to regain acceptance by his coven agrees to help Dodie and her family try to break Bernadette's Curse. At eighteen he's a college graduate and a social outcast. He's awkward around others, but somehow he and Dodie connect on a personal level as he works to keep her alive.

Dodie is a typical teenager until her family tells her that she is destined to die at 16. One of Dodie’s distant relatives did something to get a curse put on the oldest daughter and every generation afterward. Now Dodie has to suffer the consequences. Dodie’s family hires a warlock, Leopold in an effort to escape the curse. Dodie and Leopold had an awkward and cute relationship I liked it. I really enjoyed this book. After finishing the book I’m still not sure who can be trusted and who can’t. This book left off on a cliff hanger and I would definitely read the rest of the series.

Yet lately, online rumors have been threatening Livi's place in the group. And not even her friends are doing much to stop them. Leaving Livi to prove them wrong, and fast. Before her life as a popster is over. Visit www.populatti.com for more!

Livi is the perfect example of a typical teenager, who is going through the daily struggles of school and life. I relate to Livi and I’m pretty sure a lot of girls in middle and high school can to. I loved this book Livi is a main character any girl can relate to. When rumors about Livi start circulating on Populatti the drama starts. Of course Livi becomes upset especially when her friends don’t want to be around her, because of these rumors. I’ve had this happen to me before so I knew how Livi felt. The book deals a lot with social media, which helps Populatti become more relatable.   A lot of teens are on social media and could probably relate to the things that happen in this book. Populatti was a quick read and I’d recommend it to my friends.
