I'm Madison Avery, in charge of heaven's hit squad . . . and fighting itall the way.

When Madison died the night of her prom, she knew her life would never be the same. Now she has a powerful amulet that gives her the illusion of a body, a team of rogue angels by her side, the ability to flash forward into the future to see the shape of destiny, and a perfect boyfriend who doesn't even mind that she's dead.

But Madison soon faces her most difficult decision yet. She could have the one thing she wants most in the world: a normal life. But would that mean giving up everything she's worked so hard for?

Short and Sweet Review

Madison is back in this final book of the trilogy and she has a few things to cross off her checklist. In the last book we saw Madison change the fate of Shoe and she wants to prove that wasn’t a fluke so she tries it again in this book, not only does she want to save someone again but she finally knows the location of her body. We spend a majority of this book seeing Madison trying to change another fate and deciding whether she wants to continue being the dark timekeeper or find her body and be alive.

I thought this book was okay and for most of this book I was bored, it had the same plot as the last book but also threw in the fact that Madison now knows where her body is. For some reason I liked the second book more with her trying to help Shoe at least he turned out to be decent, Tammy the person they’re trying to help now is pretty awful. We also see Madison learn the location of her body but if she does go for it she knows she won’t be able to be the dark timekeeper. The fact that she wouldn’t be the dark timekeeper was upsetting to those around her but ultimately it was up to Madison to make the decision. I didn’t love this book but the ending did make up for what went on during the first half of this book.

Overall, this book was just a repeat of book two which really threw me off. I did like that Madison had to weigh the pros and cons of staying the dark timekeeper or not. Overall this series was a miss for me, the only book I really liked was book two and because of that I was excited to see what book three had in store but I felt let down in the end.
